We translate external requirements into internal needs and build tools and mechanisms that enable Amazon businesses to meet their ESG reporting obligations and effectively manage their ESG opportunities and risks.The ESG Risk team is looking for a Senior Social and Governance Risk Manager to support the rapidly expanding ESG Impacts, Risks and Opportunities program.This role will support the team’s mission to develop scalable mechanisms across Amazon to help identify, assess and manage social and governance risks in line with upcoming mandatory ESG reporting requirements such as the EU CSRD.Key job responsibilities• Contribute to the development and implementation of social and governance risk assessment methodology and models• Collaborate with business units and corporate functions to identify and assess social and governance risks, spanning across multiple businesses and geographies• Identify and pursue opportunities to streamline existing ESG reporting and due diligence efforts across the business globally to feeds into and inform the ESG impacts, risks and opportunities assessment program• Provide input into upcoming voluntary and mandatory ESG risk management programs, reporting frameworks and public disclosures, and collaborate on improvements for Amazon’s future ESG risk management programs• Work with worldwide sustainability subject matter experts to understand and align to existing and upcoming ESG regulations such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive’s double materiality principle and the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive's objectivesAbout The TeamDiverse Experiences:World Wide Sustainability (WWS) values diverse experiences. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.Basic Qualifications• 6 + years of assessing and managing social risk at the organization/company level, including influential roles on large scale, complex, high profile programs• 6 + years of experience managing, analyzing and communicating assessment results to senior management• Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders, including advising and influencing cross-functional teams• Understanding of the emerging ESG regulatory environment (CSRD/ESRS, EU taxonomy, Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence)Preferred Qualifications• Experience with completing and reporting on social risk assessments in line with the CSRD/ESRS or other ESG reporting or due diligence requirements (mandatory or voluntary)• Experience in assessing, managing and reporting on governance risks at the organization/company level, including business conduct topics• Ability to deliver in ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment.• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $207,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
