The salary range for this role, based in New York, NY
is $75,700 to $113,500, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary
The Supply Planning analyst controls the replenishment buying ($MM) of assigned product lines to support customer orders across multiple distribution centers. Key objectives will be; achieving targeted service levels, maintaining strong inventory turns and managing the supply planning cycle. This position is a key contributor within the Sales & Operations Planning process, identifying risks and communicating to the business. The specialist is required to be technically strong, digitally savvy with the ability to identity opportunities and manage change.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained through planning & replenishment of assigned product lines—managing, building and utilizing reports, trends, forecasts and judgment.
  • Manage purchase order process flow (among other supply planning related clerical tasks).
  • Analyze and continually improve planning parameters within planning tool (JD Edwards or similar).
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Actively manage daily inventory exception reports. Analyze local market needs/risks and recommend actions to maintain expected customer service levels. Communicate and manage out of stocks.
  • Coordinate and manage special projects (displays/conversions/club packs) with distribution centers to meet order deadlines and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Support new product introductions. Build/Recommend initial net requirement estimates to deliver on time launches and controlled inventory planning. Lead supply chain operations new product set-up (item creation, label approval, etc.).
  • Demonstrates initiative to drive and support continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Become Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the company's planning methodology or system.
  • Lead and participate in relevant projects as assigned by / to the Operations Team.

Requirements
Education
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain, Finance, Business analytics or related field required.
Experience
  • Requires 2-4 years of previous analytical, supply chain and/or distribution experience.
  • Advanced technical skills in DRP (Distribution Requirement Planning) theory with the ability to enhance current process with minimum guidance is desired.
  • ~2 years’ experience developing plans and reports using planning and/or decision support applications.
  • Digitally savvy and with strong business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
