AQEMIA is a next-gen pharmatech company generating one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipeline.

We already delivered several drug discovery successes within our internal pipeline and through collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Our most advanced programs are currently in vivo optimization.


We are looking for an Early Asset Valuation Specialist to evaluate and value our potential drug candidates and internal pipeline assets. You will report directly to Théa, our Head of Finance, who has a strong background in financial modeling and corporate finance (ex-Morgan Stanley).


The Early Asset Valuation Specialist will provide competitive intelligence lead for internal assets and synthesize data into actionable insights. This role is key to present valuation findings and recommendations to Leadership and Board.

This role involves rigorous financial modeling, market analysis and strategic assessment to determine the value of pre-clinical pharmaceutical assets in development.


The position requires close collaboration with other stakeholders at AQEMIA: Leadership, Portfolio team or Program leaders to provide comprehensive valuations and contribute to strategic decision-making.

You will play a pivotal role in building our portfolio strategy and risk profile analysis which is the core business of AQEMIA.


Your Role
  • Develop complex valuation models to assess the value of our potential drug candidates (using NPV, transactional comparables and other valuation methodologies) to inform go/no-go decision for our portfolio.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with drug development, regulatory approval, and market entry.
  • Analyse clinical trial data, regulatory pathways and market potential to inform valuation models.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand the competitive landscape, pricing strategies and potential market share.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and market dynamics to provide strategic insights.
  • Assess the strategic fit of potential assets within the company’s portfolio and AQEMIA’s overall strategy.


Your Profile
  • 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, early asset valuation and analysis within either banking, consulting, VC, pharma or biotech companies
  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Finance and/or Business
  • Strong understanding of the pharma and drug development process, regulatory environment and market dynamics
  • Business-oriented profile and attention to detail required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organised, flexible and easily adaptive to changing conditions
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Curious and eager to learn more about finance, drug discovery and AI
  • Fluent in English
