We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Global Forecasting to join our team Global Ascendis team. This role will be pivotal in driving our forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely predictions that support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in in patient-based forecasting leading both top-down and bottom-up approaches, as well as proven track record in working closely with supply chain management and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of robust forecasting models to predict demand, revenue, and other key metrics
  • Lead and manage the global supply and patient demand forecasts, aligning parameters for accurate top-down predictions
  • Oversee patient and revenue forecasts for individual markets, ensuring alignment with local data and global strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing and business leads to establish a set of standard forecasting assumptions by brand across all markets
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive fact sheets that provide up-to-date insights on global and local market dynamics.
  • Continuously track forecast performance against actuals, adjusting models as necessary to maintain precision
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Insights, Marketing, P&L Owners, Finance, Supply Chain, Medical, and Market Access to ensure alignment and accuracy of forecasts.
  • Stay informed with the latest developments in the market landscape for key markets, including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies, leveraging advanced analytics and technology
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide regular updates on forecast progress and insights.
  • Present forecast results and recommendations to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks and communicate effectively across organization
  • Continuously review and improve forecasting methodologies, processes, and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and apply them to continuously improve Ascendis’ forecasting capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical field; master’s degree in business or life sciences preferred
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical/strategy forecasting, finance, analytics, or supply chain management experience
  • Minimum of 5-years in a leadership role
  • Extensive knowledge of forecasting principles, practices, and tools
  • Excellent analytical skills and well-versed in industry secondary data sources and patient data
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Advanced Power Point skills (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing scenarios.
