The Associate Director of Engagement Strategy works with the world’s top pharmaceutical clients on a variety of dynamic and innovative brands. The Associate Director of Engagement Strategy is instrumental in developing omnichannel plans that deliver value for HCPs and Patients as they interact with the variety of experiences designed to help them through the adoption funnel.
They dive deep into foundational strategy elements such as the brand purpose, segmentation, target insights, and channels in order to help develop the Engagement strategy. They enjoy delving deep into research to develop customer journeys that focus on activation points. The Associate Director of Engagement Strategy also helps run client workshops and distills those outputs into actionable plans.
The Associate Director of Engagement Strategy’s ultimate goal is to show how all channels and platforms work in concert to bring the brand promise to life. The ideal candidate demonstrates creative, innovative, and flexible thinking in their approach, their deliverables, and in client presentations. They will work collaboratively with clients and with colleagues in strategic planning, account, creative, experience design, media, and analytics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Journey Development-
Translates customer insights (current and desired mindset, behavior barriers and drivers) into a dynamic Customer Journey that flexes based on market trends

Workshop facilitation

Designs and runs a variety of proprietary workshops based on the clients’ business needs, often including a cross-functional team consisting of clients, 3rd party partners, and agency experts

Channel Selection & Audience media preference

Develops Engagement ecosystems & NPP strategy, works with media teams, and keeps the client updated on any trends in digital and social media through POVs

Content Strategy

Develops messaging strategy aligned to the customer journey, content audits, content matrices, and content outlines

Project Briefs
-
Writes project briefs for digital, social, and experiential-focused projects
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the first 3 months on the job, the AD will:

Oversee day-to-day activity on assigned accounts, creating and kicking off project briefs for standard Engagement deliverables (e.g., websites) and working with larger brand teams at key strategic junctures to examine the current Engagement strategy and provide recommendations for the future (e.g., tactical planning)

Support senior Engagement staff on new business pitches, as needed

Develop collaborative relationships with account management, strategic planning, media, creative counterparts and senior marketing clients

Synthesize a variety of insights into actionable plans to drive brand goals

Marry strategic and creative aptitude in order to create meaningful, memorable and measurably impactful Engagement strategies in the health and wellness space

Provide insights into the value and limitations of both online and offline channels
Within 6 months on the job:

Serve as a key Engagement team member on a client brand team and ultimately ensure the quality of the strategic and creative products the Engagement team produces

Lead an account, as well as continue to provide oversight on existing accounts
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor degree, Marketing or related major preferred

5 to 6 years’ experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams (Visio a plus)

Brainstorming software: Familiarity with running workshops in Zoom, Stormz, or other online collaboration platforms preferred

Customer journey software: Knowledge of Suite CX, Omnigraffle, or Custellence a plus
Salary
$120,000 to $138,000
