Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client! This role involves maintaining payroll information, reviewing and adjusting timesheets, updating payroll records, and preparing comprehensive reports. The successful candidate will also resolve payroll discrepancies and perform various administrative duties within the HR department.Responsibilities• Collate, calculate, and enter payroll data.• Review and adjust timesheets for accuracy and allocate time to job numbers.• Update payroll records with changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, reimbursements, exemptions, and saving deductions.• Prepare reports summarizing earnings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll queries from employees and employers.• Maintain payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.• Process W-2 forms through the Paylocity system.• Perform various administrative duties within the HR department.• Handle related and non-related duties as assigned.Essential Skills• Three to five years of experience in payroll.• Expert knowledge of Paylocity.• Proficiency in Word, Excel (including advanced skills such as Pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Outlook, and web-based applications.• Strong research and analytical skills.• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to multi-task.Additional Skills & Qualifications• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalent.• College degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.• Knowledge of wage withholding orders.Work EnvironmentThis position requires working in office 5 days a weekBenefits• Opportunity to work with a rapidly growing organization• Flexible compensation• Great benefits package• Internal career growth opportunitiesThis position is moving extremely fast as this is an urgent need for the client.
