Job Title: Accountant - LeaseJob DescriptionWe are looking for an Accountant specializing in Lease accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording journal entries, reconciling complex ledger accounts, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. You will ensure business changes are accurately reflected in financial statements, analysis, and communication while maintaining accurate accounting records and performing monthly close activities and variance analyses.Responsibilities• Record journal entries and reconcile complex ledger accounts.• Identify opportunities for process improvements.• Ensure business changes are accurately reflected in financial statements.• Prepare, maintain, and explain accounting records, monthly close activities, and variance analyses in a timely manner.• Manage large volumes of transactional-level data.• Review work submitted by accountants and provide functional advice, guidance, and training.• Resolve issues using accounting concepts, experience, and analytical skills.• Establish and coordinate the implementation of accounting control procedures.• Produce accurate and timely ad-hoc reports from multiple data sources for analysis.• Participate in cross-departmental projects and articulate accounting guidelines to support business changes.• Identify, document, and communicate the impact of new programs or system changes on existing accounting processes.• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by business management.Essential Skills• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.• 4-7 years of working experience.• Experience in process improvement and problem-solving.• Strong understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, accounting systems, and internal controls.• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.• Demonstrated ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment.• Effective collaboration and communication skills with all levels of the organization and cross-functional business partners.• Experience with ERP systems and related reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Blackline).• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, sum if, v-lookup).• Understanding of large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx).Additional Skills & Qualifications• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (Preferred).• Experience in public accounting or with a public company.• Experience in communications, technology, or retail industry.• Experience with Lease ASC 842.Work EnvironmentThis position follows a hybrid schedule with three days in the office. The accounting team is based in one of the four buildings on our campus, which features impressive amenities, including a full gym with a locker room, a cafeteria with free lunch every day, ping pong tables, putting greens, and foosball.
