HotelChateau on the LakeEvents Technology Manager IFull timeAtrium SPIRIT – where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellencePrimary PurposeThe primary purpose of the Event Technology Manager is to provide guests with an excellent banquet experience while providing technology support during events and managing the Event Technology Department.Work PerformedThe Event Technology Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:• Supervise Associates to include developing positive working relationships, providing training and educational support, assisting in the recruitment process, and ensuring that Event Technology Associates are meeting guest needs;• Manage the department by assisting Associates to understand and adhere to employment practices, recommending employment decisions, supporting performance management, and implementing corrective action in accordance with Atrium’s Core Values;• Create a best-in-class guest experience, measured by brand specific service measurement scores, while engaging with guests, maintaining quality products, adhering to health code requirements, and enforcing cleanliness standards; • Coordinate activities with the sales and other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner;• Ensure financial goals of the department and the hotel are being met by managing costs for labor, supplies, and equipment;• Develop and recommend revenue driving initiatives and monitor revenue performance;Execute the Event Technology needs through set up, operation, and troubleshooting in relation to all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems in areas of the hotel where needed; • Assist and instruct guests regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment; • Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use;  • Contract with outside vendors, including to rent and purchase AV equipment when necessary; • Manage guest shipments, including ensuring that packages are dispatched and delivered according toguest instructions;• Understanding hotel emergency procedures to include fire, life, and safety; • Recommending changes that could improve technology forward, service, and increase operational efficiency; and• Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.QualificationsRequired Prior Experience:3 years in audio/visual technology rolePrior supervisory/leadership experiencePreferred Prior ExperiencePrior hospitality experiencePreferred EducationAssociates degree or higher in hospitality, business, or a related fieldHigh school diploma or equivalentRequired TechnologyIntermediate computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, and Teams .Preferred TechnologyKnowledge of operating systems (Microsoft, Apple)WorkdayPhysicalAble to lift 50lbs; Able navigate the event space up to four (4) consecutive hours within a scheduled shiftOtherAvailable to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysCompetencies• Functional/Technical SkillsHas the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.• Customer FocusIs dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.• PerseverancePursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks.__________________________________________________BenefitsWhen you’re an Atrium Associate, you’re a part of a crucial workforce providing the ultimate ‘Home Away From Home’ for our guests.
