Position Overview:
The Head of Key Accounts will manage the Key Accounts Manager team within our consumer finance company. This strategic role is critical for driving revenue growth and fostering long-term relationships with key merchant partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in account management, a strong background in merchant acquisition, and a deep understanding of the consumer finance landscape.
- Merchant Acquisition:
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new merchant partners aligned with the company’s growth objectives on key categories, including Fashion, Mobile & Appliances, Home/Department Stores, Hypermarkets, Education, and Travel.
- Identify and target potential merchants, leveraging market insights to drive engagement and conversion.
- Account Management:
- Oversee the management of key merchant accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key merchants, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Relationship Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within merchant organizations to enhance collaboration and drive mutual growth.
- Conduct regular business reviews with merchants to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth through effective account management and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing merchant utilization of financial products.
- Monitor account performance metrics and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning relevant to merchant acquisition and account management.
- Utilize insights to refine strategies and enhance service delivery to key accounts.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align offerings with merchant needs and expectations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless onboarding and service experience for merchants.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of Key account managers professionals focused on merchant acquisition and relationship management.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Performance Reporting:
- Track and report on key account metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate account status, growth opportunities, and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the consumer finance or payments industry.
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing key accounts, particularly in the merchant space.
- Strong understanding of consumer finance products and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
