Senior Lead (U.S. Seller Success)

The Seller Success team's main mission is to bring to Backmarket.com the best refurbished devices that people want, at a good price and with a level of quality that is as good as new.


**NOTE: This role is located in New York ( Union Square ), and requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Candidates should either be local to NYC or open to relocating.**


YOUR MISSION: 🥇
  • MAIN MISSIONS

Team Management 
  • Manage, inspire and empower a team of 4 Seller Success Managers
  • Cultivate a high performance culture, ensuring that the team goals are aligned with Back Market’s ambitions
  • Establish and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and growth of your team
  • Regularly monitor and analyze the performance take action to optimize results

Sellers management 
  • Manage a portfolio of large US sellers : build strong and long-term relationships to keep engaging them on Back Market
  • Develop sellers’ sales on Back Market and improve their quality performance
  • Identify and implement new business opportunities with sellers: enhancing product offerings and exploring new market segments
  • Understand their challenges and address them promptly with the Seller Success Managers 
  • Visit sellers and engage in all relevant Trade Shows (eg, Mobile Disrupt, ITAD)

Innovation & vision
  • Shape the vision for your team in alignment with Back Market’s global mission
  • Ideate, formalize, and execute new seller programs to ensure steady growth, high levels of engagement, adoption, and satisfaction
  • Create strategic plans to capture market share, taking into account customer needs and industry trends


YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF YOU HAVE:
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Sales team manager with a proven track record of managing a complex portfolio on an international scale while overachieving your targets
  • Sales powerhouse with a track record of managing complex portfolios on an international scale
  • Data mindset with strong analytical skills and proficient use of database tools (SQL is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of the e-commerce industry and deep understanding of the marketplace business model
  • Speak English fluently, any European language is a plus (German, Spanish, French)

  • BM Values Sabothire interview (1 hr)


This position has an estimated annual base salary range of $120,000 to $150,000, plus opportunities for equity. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
