The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager (Portugal based) for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. There is a potential opportunity for the role to become permanent at the end of the contract.

In this role, you will manage the delivery of cutting-edge projects for one of our key accounts, with a focus on AI-driven platforms. You will work with a talented team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager at Beyond, you’ll:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Apply agile methodologies and iterative development practices to manage project lifecycles.  
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective solutions.  
• Monitor and report on project progress to internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Your expertise extends to translating technical requirements related to real-time data architectures and AI/ML pipelines into actionable plans, and you maintain a proactive approach to staying at the forefront of industry advancements.
• Google Ecosystem Experience: Prior experience working for or delivering internal product platforms as a supplier to Google's marketing teams is a significant advantage, demonstrating familiarity with their unique environment and processes.

Qualifications

At Beyond, we value your experience, track record, and passion for project delivery above formal qualifications. However, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

• 5+ years of experience as a Project or Delivery Manager, focused on delivering complex technical solutions in an agency environment
• Experience in managing projects involving data, AI, and ML technologies.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira).
• While not mandatory, experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Vertex AI, Gemini) is a plus.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams is a plus.
• Although not a requirement, any relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) can supplement practical experience.
