Baptist Health is looking for a Contract Administrator to join our team in Louisville, KY
Under the direction of Legal Department attorneys, the Contracts Administrator assists in the development and maintenance of contract templates and in the review and preparation of contracts. Maintains contract details in software programs for BHS Legal Department and BHS entities. Generates and distributes standard contract reports as requested by the Chief Legal Officer or Legal Department attorneys. Supports Legal Department attorneys in the development and maintenance of contract templates and in the review and preparation of standard contracts. In addition to the primary responsibility of contract administration, Contracts Administrator relieves Legal Department attorneys of designated administrative duties. Contracts Administrator utilizes legal office skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills; assumes responsibility without direct supervision; performs work of a highly confidential nature; and makes decisions within the scope of his/her authority. Contracts Administrator must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, good judgment, knowledge of internal and external customers, broad knowledge of organization and company policy and procedures.
Essential Duties:
Reviews, revises, processes and provides regular status updates on all contracts received for legal review; pursues completion of contracts summary forms, exhibits, applicable Stark II compliance forms, and Business Associate Agreements. Drafts contracts for review by the Legal Department attorneys. Research status of business entities on applicable Secretary of State’s website and research files for other contracts company has with any BHS entity or contract covering similar products/services.
Performs initial detailed review and editing of all assigned contracts.
Acts as a liaison between Baptist Health and external organizations.
Remits contract revisions consistent with Baptist Health legal guidelines and policies to Baptist Health Attorneys, external organizations, and Baptist Health leadership.
Finalizes contracts and coordinates receipt of executed documents.
Files Uniform Commercial Code forms with the applicable Secretary of State’s Office as required under contracts in order to secure BHS entities’ security interest, if any.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Associate degree with five years' experience
7 years’ experience in required areas may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Experience in healthcare or legal environment preferred
Experience as a secretary, paralegal, legal assistant, contracts administrator, or in other administrative assistant role required.
