Blackpoint Cyber is the leading provider of world-class cybersecurity threat hunting, detection and remediation technology. Founded by former National Security Agency (NSA) cyber operations experts who applied their learnings to bring national security-grade technology solutions to commercial customers around the world, Blackpoint Cyber is in hyper-growth mode,  fueled by a recent $190m series C round. 

We are searching for a Business Development Representative who can recognize opportunities and turn leads into long-lasting partnerships. With their product knowledge and understanding of industry trends, BDR’s will communicate directly with clients and prospects, understand their individual needs, and recommend Blackpoint products or services that maximize value. BDR’s may also assist in developing sales opportunities. Successful BDR’s will be skilled communicators and presenters who can find the best fit between client and product. The ideal candidate will be able, organized, passionate about client relations, and focused on enhancing the buyer experience.

This is a hybrid role (3x/week) out of our Denver, Colorado office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the Blackpoint CRM tool to contact marketing-generated prospects and new leads from business directories and other sources.

  • Initiate conversations with prospects via phone and email to understand their needs and explain how Blackpoint’s products and services can fulfill those needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as lead qualification, selling strategies or marketing information.

  • Establish and maintain access to decision-makers and end-users in prospective client companies.

  • Keep detailed account records in the Blackpoint CRM tool.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Blackpoint’s product offerings and stay current on industry trends and internal product developments.

  • Research emerging technologies, trends, and competitive landscape.

  • Meet or exceed qualification targets and objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Conduct outreach to prospects, deliver product demos, and showcase the value of Blackpoint’s offerings.

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline and achieve sales quotas.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 1-2 years of experience in Sales, where you hit and exceeded quotas.

  • A results-driven attitude with a strong work ethic.

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with a high level of initiative and perseverance.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to understand client needs and manage the negotiation process effectively.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Willingness to travel to trade shows and events as required.
