SBP Poplar has a full menu of recreational youth programs, ranging from birthday parties and school groups to camps and after-school programs. The Youth Programs Coordinator is responsible for supporting and developing all aspects of youth programming at Seattle Bouldering Project, including curriculum, budget, marketing, and staffing. This role includes working closely with the General Manager to maintain, support, and develop behind-the-scenes programs administration, and providing exemplary leadership through direct instruction of programs. Effective communication with staff, management, gym guests, youth participants, and families is at the core of the position. The Youth Programs Coordinator will model excellent instruction and customer service, support the growth of programs instructors through feedback and coaching, and manage Youth Programs labor and financial budgets.

Are you passionate about fostering connections and creating a vibrant community for youth? The Seattle Bouldering Project is looking for a Youth Programs Coordinator to join our team at Poplar! With our mission to inspire and support meaningful human connections through climbing, movement, and social experiences, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping fun and engaging programs for youth. As our Youth Programs Coordinator, you’ll take charge of developing and managing a diverse array of youth activities such as camps, birthday parties, and after-school programs. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, ensuring that our programs not only meet safety standards but also provide high-energy, enjoyable experiences for participants. Effective communication with staff, kids, and their families is essential as you guide instructors and model excellent customer service. You'll oversee the development of innovative curriculums, manage budgets, and ensure that our programming reflects the values of inclusivity and growth. With approximately 60-80% of your week dedicated to administrative tasks, you’ll also spend ample time directly interacting with our awesome youth participants. While this role may require some evening and weekend hours, it promises flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of children in the Seattle area.
