Job Title: Social Media Lead - Marketing
Part Time / Non-Exempt: 5-10 hours per week
Reports To: Marketing Manager and General Manager
Compensation: $19-21/hour

About the Role / About You and the Role
You will be a curator of human connection, in both the digital and physical spheres. You will be responsible for creating content that supports our experience and drives member engagement. You will lead the development and implementation of an omni-channel marketing mix including – digital, email, social media, content and grassroots marketing. You will partner closely with our Market Director and Marketing Manager to build and maintain our local gym membership base through the development of conversion and retention campaigns.
What You’ll Do
Social Media
Posts
- You will plan and execute a calendar of posts that represent ongoing programming at MBP.
- You will work with the MBP Marketing Manager to understand and support department needs.
Stories
- You will use existing assets to create stylized, on-brand stories.
- You will schedule evergreen content weekly.
- You will identify and reshare high quality community content.
- You will create stories to communicate special events and emergency messaging.
Messages
- You will maintain a cadence of responding to direct messages on social platforms.
- You will stay informed on gym calendar, activities, policies, etc. to be able to respond effectively.
- You will be proactive about getting answers that aren't immediately known.
Content Creation
- You will take photos and videos to represent gym activities to share our experience through social media and other online platforms.
- You will work with the Marketing Manager to meet the needs of all department managers.
Website
- You will update website copy for department managers as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- You have an appetite for learning about our product, our customers, our market landscape, our community and cutting-edge marketing technologies and strategies.
- You have experience creating engaging social media content. Bonus points for experience running social media marketing for a consumer brand.
- You’re passionate about bringing events to life focused on community. Bonus points for having experience in event management.
- You are a creative storyteller who can bring the BP’s brand to life.
- You are highly personable, and enjoy meeting new people and talking to groups.
- You have excellent organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
- You have a desire and willingness to roll up your sleeves and collaborate in a hands-on, early-stage environment.
