Teacher Assistant

Building Blocks Early Learning Center is currently seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to join our team at Stamford - High Ridge Road. Our school director carries several years of leadership experience. We prioritize employee experience and are closed the week between Christmas and New Year. This offers you a guaranteed week of paid time off upon hire.   


Whether you have recently earned your Early Childhood Certification, you’re a field veteran or looking to evolve your classroom experience, Danielle is a dedicated and knowledgeable mentor. She is known for investing her time, resources, and energy in advancing her staff.


Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • Obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Actively exhibit a passion for early education and an enthusiasm for learning
  • Demonstrate kindness and respect for self, others, and our community at large
  • Subscribe to play-based learning approach and importance of social-emotional learning
  • Deliver required paperwork and lesson plans on time and to completion
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills


Requirements
  • Adhere to all Connecticut Public Health and Child Care Regulations
  • Authorize state-required background check Act as mandated reporter both on and off-campus
  • Collaborate with staff to help ensure classroom environments that adhere to NAEYC’s Anti-Bias Early Education
  • Be capable of standing, moving, running, and playing for the majority of the day
  • Be capable of easily lifting up to 30 pounds multiple times a day
  • Complete mandatory state safety training and maintain the required annual training hours as required by the state of Connecticut
