Business Intelligence Analyst
Reports to CFO
Remote – US and Canada only
Thatgamecompany is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
You will be responsible for gathering, managing, and synthesizing business and financial data derived from various data sources in partnership with finance, data engineering, marketing, and other operational teams, providing actionable insights to achieve business goals.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline (e.g. Analytics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in data/financial analytics or business intelligence roles
- 3+ years of SQL
- 3+ years of reports and dashboards development in a BI tool (Tableau, PowerBI etc.)
- Strong business acumen in finance, marketing, statistics, or project management and ability to understand business problems, develop hypothesis, frame the analysis and learn
- Experience writing and maintaining extract, transform, and load scripts (ETLs) which operate on a variety of structured sources
- Experience with financial and business management reporting
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Basic understanding of the game industry, especially mobile
Nice To Haves:
- Experience with one or more programming languages (R, Python etc.)
- Basic understanding or interest in mobile User Acquisition attribution
- Passion for finding stories in data
Responsibilities
Be a Subject Matter Expert in Marketing and Financial Analytics:
- Use data to understand our marketing channel ROI and identify opportunities to improve it
- Meet with User Acquisition managers for campaign planning and provide recommendations based on analytical insight
- Maintain and iterate on our in-house predictive LTV model for use by marketing
- Provide Financial and Business KPI management reporting, ensuring accuracy and actionability of data
- Perform ad hoc analysis to address questions from stakeholders and leaderships
Own Business Data Reporting:
- Maintain and improve Financial/Marketing/Business metrics, dashboards, reports and their pipelines & documentations
- Participate in our team weekly syncs with data engineers and complete the allocated tasks
- Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data, and assumptions to deliver trustworthy analysis and reports
- Work with data engineers to build required data pipelines from internal and external sources

The salary range for this position is $90,000 USD to $110,000 USD annually, with the
opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and
the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard
employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision,
401k, and paid time off.
