You are not afraid to question any existing processes and solutions, yet you display a keen sense of business value proposition and focus on the right priorities.About the team: Card Management & Security enables customers omnichannel buying power in a safe and secure way. It plays a critical role in Card lifecycle business functions supporting customer needs, which includes both Card Issuance and Card Servicing.We are in the process of modernizing our Card Management services to enable flexible, innovative, and secure services for our customers.The Card Management & Security team is a highly collaborative group; we love solving complex problems and building reusable solutions. In this role, you will be working on a new and exciting card servicing project with our all-in-one platform designed to guide businesses towards unparalleled success.You will:• Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers on your team• Work with product leaders to define the strategy, roadmap and destination architecture• Manage a portfolio of diverse technology platforms and projects to build scalable applications that meet our customer needs• Continuously improve software engineering practices• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversityBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree- At least 7 years’ experience in software development- At least 5 years’ experience in people managementPreferred Qualifications:- Master’s Degree- CISSP certification- 10+ years of experience in software development- 4+ years of experience with AWS- 5+ years of experience in Agile practicesCapital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Illinois (Hybrid On-Site): $256,200 - $292,400 for Director, Software EngineeringCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
