Senior SEO Strategist

The Senior SEO Strategist at Catena US plays a pivotal role in sculpting and steering the SEO landscape across our suite of casino sites. This dynamic position encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from crafting and executing comprehensive SEO strategies to optimizing site performance and enhancing content visibility. At the heart of this role is the mission to elevate our digital presence and ensure our sites rank prominently across search engines.

• Architect and execute a cohesive SEO strategy that aligns seamlessly with our overarching business objectives, ensuring our casino sites not only meet but exceed industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of SEO and the Director of Content & Strategy to devise and refine SEO tactics that propel us towards our business milestones.
• Spearhead advancements in SEO across the three fundamental pillars:
• Technology: Enhance the technical foundation of our websites, focusing on aspects such as HTML structure, URL optimization, sitemap integrity, page loading efficiency, and Core Web Vitals.
• Relevance: Elevate content quality and structure, optimizing title tags, meta descriptions, headlines, readability, and topical authority, while leveraging Schema markup and rich snippets to boost visibility.
• Experience-Expertise-Authority-Trust (E-E-A-T): Cement our reputation as a trustworthy and authoritative source in the casino domain, ensuring our sites resonate credibility and reliability to both users and search engines.
• Foster a synergistic relationship with the UX and Development teams to embed best-in-class SEO practices into the fabric of our digital experiences.
• Prioritize SEO initiatives based on their potential to drive revenue, deliver returns, and achieve Catena's ranking ambitions, with a keen focus on elevating multiple sites into the top echelons of search results.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture your SEO team, guiding them through best practices, career growth opportunities, and performance enhancements through regular reviews and personalized coaching sessions.
• Champion SEO education within the organization, conducting training sessions and workshops to inspire SEO acumen across various teams, including Evergreen Content and News, with a focus on SERP analysis, content optimization, and strategic internal linking.
• This role is not just about leading from the front but also about fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation, ensuring that Catena US remains at the forefront of the SEO domain.

• Qualifications include:
• At least five years of SEO / Performance Marketing experience 
• Comfortable balancing shifting priorities while under deadline while maintaining an attention to detail.
• Key skills: Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Reporting, Keyword research, data analysis.
• Requires strong familiarity with: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword and link research tools (e.g., SEMRush, ahrefs, Screaming Frog) and WordPress.
