About the role

As the Social Content Lead you will managing the capture and edit process for all things Social here at Charlotte Tilbury. Working with the wider Brand Marketing team, you will be instrumental in long term social strategy as well as BAU content, while managing a team of creatives and editors. You will be responsible for the end to end social production process, ensuring that CT socials stay innovative and true to the brand.

As Social Content Lead you will

LEADERSHIP

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and edit approval of a four-man editor and content creation team overseeing their pre, post and on set activity for all global social content edits and shoots at Charlotte Tilbury, taking ownership of all creative deliverables and key brand projects as defined by the Global Director of Social and Content
  • Take the lead role on editing and shooting best in class content for organic, paid social, CT.com and editorial exclusives, not only overseeing the team, but being the lead creative on business-critical projects
  • Core shoot projects will include, but may not always be limited to pre and post shoot planning, as well as lighting and equipment sign off per activity
  • Monthly social content shoots for always on IG and TT assets
  • Talent content shoots for ad hoc assets for service days outside of campaigns
  • On location event or major activation-based content shoots in London and abroad ie. Fashion Awards – with travel to location as required
  • Brand ambassador social content monthly shoots
  • Social sets on campaign shoots
  • Create and/or review storyboards and grade guidelines for all social content post-production
  • Build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with other internal and external departments globally, ensuring that creative strategy and goals are consistently delivered
  • Analyse all available data to ensure we are trending, adapting and learning from key successes and areas of opportunity on set
  • Own the style guides for in-house capture/edit best practice + training wider team members (pro-artists, social managers, in-store services)

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Evaluate, manage, develop and mentor in-house and freelance creative resources assigned to different projects under your leadership. Manage the creative workflow in partnership with the Lead Social Project Manager, to ensure the right teams are working on the right briefs and workloads are managed effectively
  • Coordinate activities of the shoots and ensure that project tasks are completed as needed (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/external reviews, PPM’s) and communicating action steps to immediate team as well as aligning with wider teams on shoot plan logistics including schedules, scripting, crew, set-design, sound and lighting
  • Be accountable for all content outputs for all your key brand projects by leading on the approvals process into the Global Director of Content and Social, or ensuring correct processes with junior team members

DATA & ANALYTICS

  • Manage the delivery of regular reporting on your function as needed to the SLT & CMO, as well as wider teams and depts
  • Lead on regular key business and department reports with key learnings and insights

About you

  • Extensive experience working as a content creator and editor in a socially native role, ideally with agency experience in beauty or luxury brands
  • Experience in, and enthusiasm for, developing creative ideas for social platforms, from brief to delivery and beyond
  • Demonstrated creative success in collaborating with multi-functional teams, and leading a small creative team
  • Ability to work closely with, and provide constructive feedback to video and motions graphics team and into a 360 campaign team to represent social needs
  • Ability to marry art (creative) and science (data). It’s a must you can understand social analytics and reporting and apply it to future projects and creative
  • Expert knowledge of creating content natively in social apps and ahead of the trends to drive forward best practise
  • Strong understanding of the current landscape of social creators and with a desire to seek out creative partners for the brand
  • Infectiously positive and passionate energy
  • Ability to work at pace, with a confidently calm demeanour
  • Affinity for Charlotte Tilbury products and brand
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (email, docs, drive, slides)
