Chemical Operator

Prolink is hiring for a Chemical Operator!
This position is engaged in the distillation, fermentation, and evaporation processes to produce ethanol from beverage and waste streams delivered to the plant.

What will you be doing?

• Documenting hourly readings.
• Monitoring and adjusting liquid and steam levels to optimize efficiency.
• Testing wastewater discharge pH and analyzing product samples using basic laboratory procedures, while accurately recording test results.
• Overseeing alcohol processes through computer programming, making independent and safe decisions to maintain smooth operations.
• Demonstrating technical proficiency to understand and sustain a complex chemical process.
• Ensuring a clean and safe work environment, free from hazards.
• Safely initiating, monitoring, and shutting down the Evaporation System.
• Participating in safety meetings.
• Reporting maintenance needs by submitting work orders for equipment and facilities.
• Connecting and disconnecting heavy industrial hoses for loading and unloading purposes.
• Climbing stairs and ladders to observe and test products.
• Loading and unloading various containers, such as tanker trucks, railcars, syrup trucks, totes, barrels, and kegs.
• Handling bags of chemicals weighing up to 50 pounds and distributing them as required.
• Utilizing tools, arms, and hands to operate heavy-duty vessels and valves for product routing in distillation process stations.
• Providing training and supervision to new operators in the process, and occasionally serving as a temporary department manager.
