Our ratios average 1:6 with structured support from CNAs, CMAs, Respiratory Therapists, and other direct care staff.

At ChildServe, we are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Overnight Pediatric Complex Medical team in a part-time capacity. Our Complex Medical program offers round-the-clock residential skilled nursing care in a nurturing environment for children with complex medical needs who cannot reside at home. As a nursing professional here, you will work within a supportive ratio of 1:6 alongside Certified Nursing Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, and other caregivers, ensuring every child receives the personalized attention they deserve. Your shifts will typically run from 6 PM to 6:30 AM, requiring a commitment to work two shifts per week with a weekend rotation. You’ll be responsible for assessing patient care needs, upholding accurate records, and collaborating effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding care. Your leadership role will involve supervising other nursing staff and providing training to families and caregivers, ensuring everyone involved in a child’s care is equipped and informed. With flexible scheduling options, including a rotating day/night schedule if desired, you can enjoy work-life balance while making a significant impact in these children's lives. A valid RN/LPN license in Iowa and current BLS certification are essential for this role.
