Job Description

We are looking for a Process Design /Planning Engineer with more than 5 years of experience in municipal water and wastewater projects to join our fast-growing multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team to support projects in Ontario.   

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our lead team of engineers to contribute to project delivery and the on-going growth of our business in Ontario, focusing on planning, design and construction projects for water and wastewater projects.  

You will take part in our hybrid work model that includes flexible work hours, working from home and 2 times per week in our London, Kitchener, Mississauga or Ottawa, ON offices.  

Primary responsibilities  

  • Process engineer design, hydraulic calculations, data analysis and interpretation, technology and equipment evaluation, process optimization studies 
  • Lead preparation of technical memoranda and reports   
  • Coordinate and collaborate with in-house multi-discipline teams to gather technical information to support project delivery and proposal preparation   
  • Support /lead proposal preparation and budgets, including coordination with our proposals, marketing and multi-disciplinary teams 
  • Liaise with municipal clients to promote client relationships, business development and organic growth 
  • Liaise with government agencies and a variety of stakeholders to facilitate permitting and approvals processes during project planning and implementation phases  
  • Collaborate with junior engineers in project delivery and serve as a guide and mentor to augment your growth and leadership skills and enhance overall team performance   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute   
  • Registered or eligible for registration as P.Eng. in Ontario  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering design of water and/or wastewater treatment projects. 
  • Demonstrated experience in water and wastewater treatment project planning and design, including knowledge of water and wastewater unit process design and hydraulics  
  • Experience with Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Studies, Master Plans, and feasibility studies is mandatory.   
  • Proficient MS Office user (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
