Job Description

We are seeking a Property Accountant for Residential that will be responsible for reconciling the account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures at our corporate office in Woodland Hills, CA.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Verify and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable – per property
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status – per property
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with our established schedule
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Review all inter-company transactions
  • Assist with property audits
  • Support month-end and year-end close process

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Highly proficient with accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education

  • 4-year degree (Bachelors) in Accounting, Business Admin, or related field
  • 1+ year in an accounting role - Required
  • 1+ years of experience in property management (RESIDENTIAL) accounting - Preferred
  • Yardi Software experience -Preferred

Additional Information

Schedule: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm) 

Pay: $62,000 +
