Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr Data Engineer with strong
experience in building and managing data pipelines across AWS cloud
services (Comcast Cloud Platform is a plus). The ideal candidate will also
bring hands-on experience in Machine Learning, Natural Language
Processing (NLP), and API development using Python, alongside a solid
understanding of the cable construction and network domain.

As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll be instrumental in enabling analytics,
intelligent applications, and real-time business insights by integrating and
transforming data from multiple systems in a secure, scalable, and efficient
way.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Python, PySpark, and Shell scripting
Integrate and optimize structured and unstructured data sources including DynamoDB, Oracle, and external APIs
Build and manage data lakes and warehouses on S3, Redshift, Athena, and RDS
Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and secrets management via HashiCorp Vault
Develop and deploy APIs using Python (Flask, FastAPI) to serve machine learning models or expose processed datasets to internal tools
Build and productionize machine learning pipelines using Python, S3, Glue, and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, spaCy, or transformers
Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to extract insights from text data sources such as service tickets, construction logs, or work orders
Collaborate with domain SMEs to model and understand data across cable construction and network operations
Develop and schedule data workflows using Concourse CI/CD
Maintain and enhance legacy data workflows (e.g., Pentaho) during migration and modernization phases
Ensure robust data quality, performance monitoring, and pipeline observability
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
