Director of Sales - Digital Marketing

We are Community Boost, the premiere digital marketing agency for social impact and nonprofit organizations. Community Boost, a 50+ person organization, is seeking a Director of Sales to drive the success of our sales team by expanding their engagement with nonprofit organizations through effective sales strategies. The Director of Sales will focus on leading account executives and an SDR Manager. This position is for you if you are a sales manager looking to grow into a director level role, are a systems thinker, possess strong leadership skills, and have a burning passion for empowering nonprofit organizations. 


What you will do:
  • Team Leadership
  • Manage and provide guidance to a team of Account Executives and a Sales Enablement Manager.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing sales culture through coaching and inclusive change management.
  • Drive team results through inspiration, motivation, and by engaging their buy in.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales objectives with overall company goals.
  • Continuously refine and optimize sales processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Occasional travel 10-15% to attend industry or company events
  • Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, Events, and Client Services.
  • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide input and support on client projects.
  • Data-Driven Approach
  • Strong systems mindset to utilize our sales tools to the fullest extent: Hubspot, Gong, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
  • Leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive sales performance.
  • Develop and track key sales metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Optimize sales processes and drive revenue growth.
  • Team Development and Training
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback.
  • Support account executives by joining sales calls to support them with closing as needed
  • Effectively and collaboratively run Weekly Sales Meetings and various training.
  • Help team members reach their full potential.
  • Nonprofit Industry & Marketing Knowledge Management
  • Understand client needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Deep understanding of marketing, ideally digital marketing 
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and regular reports for the executive team.
  • Provide insights on sales pipeline, revenue projections, and performance.
  • Strong expertise in Hubspot CRM.


What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager/Director or similar leadership role, preferably within a digital marketing agency or selling into the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience leading, inspiring, and growing a sales team, including Account Executives and an SDR team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead change while collaborating with the team to determine solutions.
  • Systems and data-driven mindset with proficiency in developing processes, analyzing sales metrics, and using data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Passion for nonprofit organizations and a genuine interest in making a positive impact through digital marketing.
