Business Intelligence Developer - Direct Hire, Salaried - Winston Salem, NC - W2 only• Candidates must be able to work on the clients W2 without a vendor or employer*• Candidates must be able to commute to the client location from day 1*Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Business Intelligence Developer for our client based out of Winston-Salem, NC.This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.Must Haves - Power Bi, SQL, ExcelBonus! - Power AutomateResponsibilities:\tGather data from diverse sources using Power BI, Power Automate, MS SQL Server, and Excel.\tDesign and implement relational data models for effective analysis.\tDevelop dynamic and professional Power BI dashboards and reports.\tAutomate business processes using Power Automate workflows, including parsing JSON and converting queries into SharePoint lists or Excel tables.\tUtilize SharePoint Lists to support data integration and workflow management.\tCollaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand and fulfill reporting, visualization, and automation needs.\tMaintain and optimize existing workflows and reporting systems.\tEnsure data accuracy and security while following best practices.\tEnsures high-quality craftsmanship of all tasks while meeting deadlines\tEnsure departmental policies and procedures are followed\tMaintains cooperative working relationships with clients, employees, and vendors\tPerform other assigned duties as needed by the businessExperience:\tAdvanced knowledge of Excel, including data connections, power queries, and Office scripts\tProficiency in Power BI, with a strong focus on data modeling and professional visualizations\tExperience with Power Automate, including JSON parsing and integration with SharePoint and Excel\tIntermediate to Advanced MS SQL knowledge\tCredible and proven technical skills and critical thinking skills\tWilling to update technical knowledge and skills through research, training, or required certifications\tStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across the organization\tAble to work in a fast-paced, changing, and under-pressure business environment\tPossess project management skills and consistently align with project plans and timelines\tDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills\tAbility to work with a team or independently and be self-directed\t3+ years of experience in a similar role\tBachelor’s degree in an IS or Business-related degree\t3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Specialist or similar role\t3+ years of Power BI experience, power query, data modeling, and visualizations\t3+ years of querying MS SQL servers, understanding relational data modeling, and using various join types and temp tables to query data\t3+ years in Excel (establishing data connection to 3rd party sources, using power query to clean data, and the use of scripts and macros)\t2+ years of experience in Power Automate (create flows to automate data processes like updating Sharepoint lists Excel files)Why Work for Apex Systems:\tWe offer weekly pay, direct deposit, competitive pay rates\tHealth/Medical benefits, Life Insurance, 401k, Employee Stock Purchase Program\tDiscounts to most major certification programs, access to multiple technical training platforms and programsAbout Apex Systems:At Apex Systems, we value integrity, respect, and excellence, and we are committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and consultants alike.
