Job Title - Banner Database AdministratorEmployment Type: Contract- Long-termLocation - Tuscaloosa, AL (On- site or Remote)Job Description• Set up single sign-on using Ethos ID• Maintain and upgrade Evisions applications and MAPS server, UC4 and other software on-premise• Assist with ERP integrations• Maintain and upgrade BEP, BRIM and rabbitmq• Maintain, upgrade and create communication plans using Ellucian's Communication Management tool and Action Item Processing• Maintain, upgrade and create university specific self-service and administrative pages using Ellucian's Page Builder tool• Maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot Ellucian's Degree Works application• Assist Banner DBA with testing and preparation of ERP upgrades• Develop and implement processes and procedures necessary to maintain the databases and the schemas used by the University of Montevallo staff in a variety of departments• Plan, design, and assist with the implementation of new applications and reports that allow the user community to take full advantage of Banner's capabilities• Create databases and related database objects/schemas; assist with the physical and logical design of databases• Assist in the planning and design of database physical structures to accommodate large transaction processing and high availability• Work with the other IS&T and University staff to implement the logical database design in the physical environment• Assist in the analysis of database sizing/capacity, server requirements, and space requirements• Work with the Operations team to thoroughly implement and test enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Disaster Recovery initiatives• Review new database programs, functions, procedures, and packages before they are loaded into the production database• Support data loading, conversion, and batch job operation and trouble-shoot development/production systems• Provide user support and deliver user & process documentation• Participate in Information Services & Technology initiatives, continuous improvement, and other projects as needed• Log calls for assistance with internal tracking software and respond promptly.
