The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the organization in matters related to accountancy laws and regulations, preparing the annual agency budget, and providing information to the Legislature on budget and statutory issues. Additionally, the Executive Director will oversee disciplinary procedures, monitor Peer Review information for registered firms, and ensure compliance with continuing education requirements. The role also involves serving as a liaison with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, managing agency personnel, and performing other tasks as assigned by the Board.Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience, a Bachelor's degree (in business or accounting, preferred), and a strong knowledge of the accounting profession. Experience with a regulatory board is also preferred. The role requires the ability to travel, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage and provide timely customer service. While a CPA is not required, the ideal candidate will have experience working with the accounting profession and demonstrate respect for the profession and its professionals.
