As the technical lead, you will support the further development of Continental Tire’s National Account Retailer and Fleet Program and be responsible for the design, creation and testing of Angular web applications and components. You will collaborate with SCRUM teams of solutions architects, Java backend development teams along and, data engineers in Americas, Europe and Asia. Additionally, there will be integration/visualizations with systems that provide digitalization in the areas of Connected Vehicle and Tire Monitoring for Passenger, Commercial, and Specialty (agriculture and mining) tire products and services.

  • Responsibility for the concept, prototyping, technical design/architecture, and implementation of UI applications/functionality based on business requirements.
  • Ability to facilitate a highly productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Collaboration with business partners to analyze user requirements and business objectives to determine application features and functionality.
  • Collaboration with back-end team members for the development of restful APIs.
  • Collaboration with global teams in Europe and Asia.
  • Responsibility for the development of test code/test scenarios ensuring high quality.
  • Post roll-out, provide production support for the global web application. - Ability to efficiently debug and resolve technical issues.
  • Compile technical documentation and user assistance material, requiring excellent written communication.
  • Follow Scrum/Agile methodologies to organize and plan projects.
  • Ensure continuous professional self-development.

Qualifications

BASIC

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 7+ years relevant experience OR 14+ years with no degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with JavaScript and related testing frameworks
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Angular 2+ Framework
  • Fundamental knowledge of UX/UI.
  • Experience with web service integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with software development team members and business partners
  • Exposure to BDD [Behavior Driven Development] / Test Driven development paradigms.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
