Why you're important to us:
This role is extremely important within the sales organization at ControlUp. You are responsible for helping to scale revenue across the company. Our Sales Development Representatives are specialists in researching prospects, discovering pain points, getting access to end-users, and setting meetings with influencers and decision-makers. This role allows the Account Executive team to focus exclusively on conducting meetings with prospects and increasing the overall productivity of the sales organization.
How you will contribute:
You’ll have the opportunity to follow an established and successful sales process combined with weekly coaching. By setting quality meetings with IT departments across the country, you'll play an integral role in building our sales pipeline and our business! In the SDR training program at ControlUp, you will participate in a mix of classroom-style learning as well as role-plays and practice. You will learn to generate qualified leads, prospect via a mix of personal communication methods, such as emails and cold calls, and establish the value of our platform. Once you’ve engaged with a prospect, you will build rapport and find your prospects’ needs. Your success will be measured on daily activity metrics as well as quarterly quota attainment. You’ll demonstrate mastery of skills at this level by exceeding quota for two quarters in a row.
You will stand out if:
• You have relevant and practical SDR or BDR experience, previous work with SaaS Sales preferred
• Are able to quickly engage potential customers over email, phone, and in-person
• You have knowledge of our sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, SalesNav, and Zoominfo
• Are clear, concise, and accurate in your communications, both written and verbally
• You learn quickly and you’re excited by new technologies, quickly mapping them to business processes
• You possess grit and don’t shy away from rejection
• You’re hungry to progress your career and make money
