Director, Digital Strategy

The Director, Digital Strategy will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive strategies for clients across a range of industries. This role will require a deep understanding of the digital landscape, including the latest trends and technologies, as well as a proven track record of driving successful internal and go-to-market initiatives. Within this Director position, we’re looking for someone with a broad capability set who can take on a variety of client needs as they come in. Given we specialize in Commerce, experience in Shopper Marketing or other Commerce-related go-to-market planning is a bonus, but work outside of the Commerce field is needed. 


Responsibilities
  • Act as the strategic lead for 1-2 major clientsLead and manage a team of strategists, providing guidance and mentorship to help them deliver high quality work and grow in their careers.
  • Work alongside client teams and other subject matter experts to define project approaches and ensure all deliverables exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for a broad and diverse set of clients, including go-to-market planning, business consulting, digital marketing and transformation, brand strategy and/or commerce strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date and inspire internal teams and clients on the latest trends and technologies in the digital space, and incorporate them into our agency's service offerings and client recommendations.
  • Have and lead with a clear and strong perspective on client calls and within deliverables - sharing your POV and clear recommendations with clients while remaining open to collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, CX, data, technology and client services to ensure the successful execution of client initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Build materials for and present within new business pitches - providing clear recommendations, guidance for internal team on how we should approach and pitch-worthy presentation skillsLeverage primary research, third party data sources and client data to generate insights and inform recommendations.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital strategy, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - both verbal and within written deliverables (PPT).
  • Proven experience developing and delivering full PPT deliverable presentations. Each of our strategists are hands on keyboards. 
  • Proven track record of driving successful client initiatives for a range of clients across various industries and work types at the same time.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and clients.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and show proactivity when non-billable, sharing POV on value-add work you could bring to the agency during periods of softness.
  • Strong analytical and research skills and experience with data analysis and research tools and techniques.


$120,000 - $155,000 a year
