The Pipefitters for Optimal Field Services will be responsible installing, maintaining, and dismantling all types of pipelines, fittings, and hydraulics, as required for new construction or maintenance. The employee will need to lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install/maintain piping systems for the jobsite. Pipefitters will be required to be able to measure and manipulate pipe using specialty tools or hand tools in order to ensure accurate production at all times.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Measure and mark pipes for cutting, threading, and welding.

·         Read and comprehend blueprints.

·         Selects type and size of pipe and related materials such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders according to job specifications.

·         Cuts pipe using pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.

·         Threads pipe using threading machine.

·         Bends pipe using pipe-bending tools and machine.

·         Secures pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.

·         Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.

·         Calculating dimensions and using basic math.

·         Diagnose and isolate troublesome distribution points and make corrective repairs; make emergency repairs to offset downtime and production delays.


REQUIREMENTS FOR PIPEFITTERS:

·         Must have valid driver’s license/ Identification Card.

·         Must be able to read and interpret blueprint specifications.

·         Must be able to calculate dimensions and use basic math.

·         Minimum of 2 years of experience.

·         Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
