Overview: This role is an addition to Crosslake's team of Practitioners serving our clients with their investments and acquisitions. You will support our work with private equity clients, providing valuable insights into target company financial and operational performance. This role is designed to help you grow within a collaborative team and strengthen your business acumen while contributing to critical client projects.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in the analysis of financial statements, including the P&L, to evaluate company expenditures on areas such as R&D, labor, and hosting costs.
  • Help analyze revenue trends, margin performance, and other key financial indicators.
  • Support the analysis of organizational structure, compensation, employee tenure, attrition, and other workforce data.
  • Contribute to the analysis of key performance metrics, focusing on operational efficiency and quality within software or tech companies.
  • Participate in conducting benchmarking exercises for financial, organizational, and operational data.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather data and information through meetings and interviews.
  • Assist in creating presentations that clearly communicate analysis results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work closely with senior team members to incorporate analysis into broader project deliverables.


Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field with 1-3 years of experience in a consulting, finance, or analytics role, or similar experience OR a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with 1-3 years of experience in software technology, or similar experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable presenting data and insights in a clear, structured way for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with the software industry and its operational aspects is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions processes is preferred but not required.
