About the role

Reporting to the Fleet Engineer Manager, the Fleet Engineer will deliver the installation and maintenance of vehicle tracking systems and other telematics equipment to our customers across the UK and Ireland. This position is remote/field based and will cover a geographical area which spans approximately 90 minute travel time in the Bedfordshire area.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Installation of Telematics equipment, Camera Systems and Vehicle Safety Devices to HGV and other commercial vehicles
  • Servicing of Telematics equipment, Camera Systems and Vehicle Safety Devices to HGV and other commercial vehicles
  • Managing personal and third-party engineering resources to ensure customer satisfaction and SLAs are achieved
  • Project manage new customer and product development installation guidelines
  • Provide training and support to our dealer network
  • Liaise with Cubo Technical Support Advisors regarding new assignments and stock
  • Accurately logging all information, ensuring timely delivery and a first-class service
  • Completion of all appropriate paperwork
  • Management of engineering stock and refurbishment stock
  • Ensure all Health & Safety guidelines are followed
  • Any other reasonable business requests
  • A proven track record within the Multi Camera CCTV Industry is preferred
  • Excellent understanding and hands-on field experience working with HGV/LCV is essential
  • Have Excellent Communication Skills to Liaise with Customers and Internal Sales
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Be capable of working autonomously, managing own schedule to meet targets and delivery of deadlines
  • IT literacy, and a good level of written and verbal language skills are required
  • Commitment to obtaining results through taking responsibility, demonstrating a positive attitude and ensuring quality is built into work on all assignments
  • Good common sense and problem solving skills

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE

Overtime - Opportunity to earn overtime

Travel - Travel time is part of the working hours, paid from leaving home to return.

Annual Leave - 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Hours - 48 hours per week.

Vehicle - New Transit Custom van with fitted racking and tools (including onboard coffee station!)

Kit - Mobile Phone, Laptop and Tablet

Uniform and safety - Full uniform and safety equipment provided for all weathers
