CRISPR Field Application Scientist Manager - Americas (U.S.A. Remote with 50% Required Travel)

Together, we accomplish great thingsIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:• Lead, mentor and support a team of CRISPR Field Application Scientists in the Americas.• Attract top talent, develop team members and build a best-in-class organization to support our commercial efforts.• Provide thought leadership on technical field support for IDT’s CRISPR genome engineering portfolio, including support of product design, configuration and end use.• Collaborate with AMR Sales leadership team to identify, convert and support potential customers.• Act as the CRISPR field expert representing commercial on strategic development and ongoing improvement efforts using Danaher Business Systems process.• Work together with Product Management, Applications Support, and R&D to identify key customer requirements for future product development efforts.• Support a local CRISPR territory as an FAS, leading the team as a player and coach.The successful candidate will possess the following:• Knowledge of CRISPR/Cas9 applications (Gene Knock-out/in, Genome Base Editing & Prime Editing, CRISPR Screening, CRISPRa/i).• Strong public speaking and presentation experience.The essential requirements of the job include:• Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Genetics, Developmental Biology, Bioinformatics, or related discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.• Three years of leadership experience, including hiring, managing and building a team culture.• Three years of wet lab hands-on experience required in CRISPR applications including experimental design, optimization, and troubleshooting.• Three years of demonstrated experience using CRISPR genome editing workflow including, Cas enzyme selection, guide RNA design, reagent delivery, and result analysis.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:• Using a CRM (Salesforce) and knowledge of Power BI.• CRISPR off target detection using NGS.At IDT we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
