We are seeking a Manager, Communications to join our growing Communications team, focusing on Sports & Lifestyle accounts. This role is an exciting opportunity to support top-tier clients in building and executing innovative, 360-degree communications programs that leverage robust sports partnership portfolios. 


The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with a passion for sports culture, lifestyle trends, and earned media strategies. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, are eager to build media relationships, and are excited to contribute to creative campaigns that make an impact. 


This position offers the opportunity to collaborate across interagency teams at UEG and within the DJE family of companies, gaining exposure to integrated marketing efforts while developing expertise in PR and communications. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in the development and execution of creative storytelling strategies for sports and lifestyle clients, incorporating talent, content, and media activations. 
  • Support day-to-day account management, ensuring smooth execution of deliverables and client communications. 
  • Contribute to media relations efforts, building relationships across sports, lifestyle, fashion, fitness, and consumer media to drive earned coverage. 
  • Monitor media and cultural trends relevant to clients' industries, identifying opportunities to align campaigns with emerging topics. 
  • Assist with earned media strategies, influencer engagement, and PR activations for product launches and sports-related events. 
  • Support financial management, including tracking budgets, processing vendor invoices, and assisting with reporting. 
  • Develop media materials, including pitches, press releases, contact lists, and coverage reports. 
  • Participate in new business efforts, including research, proposal development, and presentation preparation. 


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in communications, with a focus on sports, lifestyle, and cultural programming. 
  • Experience supporting PR campaigns and executing media relations strategies. 
  • Strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Understanding of the modern media landscape, including paid, earned, social, and owned channels. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
  • Agency experience is preferred. 


$55,000 - $68,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
