About the Team:

SFG Productions is the production hand of the marketing department for the San Francisco Giants, consisting of editors, producers, graphic designers and cinematographers.  SFG Productions produces original content for television, web, social media, commercials, Giants Enterprises events and corporate initiatives, as well as for in-game entertainment on Oracle Park’s 4K scoreboard. Since 2010 SFG Productions has won 20+ Northern California Area Emmy®Awards.

 

About the Role:

The San Francisco Giants are looking for a seasonal Part-time Videographer/Editor role. You will create social-first video content for the Giants digital, social media channels and help with additional SFG Production shoots and edits. You’ll work closely with the Giants Marketing Department, including SFGProductions and the Social Media department. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work well with team members, think outside the box, and create new ideas. The ability to execute tasks with speed while maintaining a SF Giants standard of quality. This role reports to the Senior Cinematographer of SFG Productions and works closely with SFG productions and the Social Media team. E


Employment for this role is limited to timeframe of the hire date and the end of the Giants season.

Responsibilities

·        Shoot and or edit digital content for SFGiants social media accounts.

·        Shoot and or edit practice and game action

·        Delivering real-time content on game days of game action.

·        Assist with standard gameday content creation and coverage, including but not limited to pregame entertainment, in-game highlights and post-game content

·        Continually manage the organization and cataloging all footage and edits 

·        Maintain knowledge of industry trends and create innovative content that reflects the tone and voice of the Giants brand

·        Demonstrated ability to work within brand guidelines and maintain consistency while also adding personal, creative touches that keep content fresh, exciting and best in class


Qualifications:

·        1-2 years of experience creating consumer-facing content including but not limited to social-first video 

·        Passion for editing and shooting for social media and a strong understanding of social media platforms content

·        1 year Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Premiere Pro, and After Effects

·        Detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·        Strong people skills and the ability to collaborate successfully in a team setting

·        Flexibility to work a varied, non-standard schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays

·        Experience in quick sub 20min turn around editorial work

·        Has experience in using cameras and a knowledge of how to expose them

·        Knowledge and experience working with many different cameras makes and models.

$25 - $40 an hour
At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The hourly rate for this position will be a range of $25.00 to $40.00 / hour, and that will be reflective of the candidates experience.

In addition to your pay, the San Francisco Giants believe in providing a competitive total rewards package for its employees. After 60 days of employment, you may be eligible for indemnity healthcare through Healthy SF, which includes medical, dental, and prescription coverage and access to Giants tickets. At the Giants, we prioritize employee well-being by offering dedicated mental health support, a hybrid working environment, transportation benefits, wellness programs, and paid time off including half day Fridays during the season and an extended holiday break. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and the terms of official plan documents which may be modified or amended from time to time.
