We are looking for a self-driven graphic designer to join our team. As a Designer  at Darkroom, your primary duty will be to develop and assist in the development of email, marketing collateral, and landing pages. Our designers add immense value to our client's work through design and strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about using their design skills to tell a compelling story and help our customers grow their businesses.

This is a fully remote job and supports teams and clients working in US Eastern Standard/Daylight Time and should be flexible to support and work in these times.

The Designer will be responsible for the ideation and design of assets that support the following marketing channels on a client account: email & SMS, paid ads, and landing pages.

Designers may work on multiple accounts at a time, or be dedicated toward one account.

What you'll do

  • Design digital assets that support a range of client marketing initiatives briefed by a Marketing Manager: email & SMS design, paid ad design, landing page design, and more.

  • Develop a deep understanding of what factors drive converting creative on each of a client’s marketing channels and execute designs within established best practices.

  • Execute and maintain multiple design systems and style guides to be used across all creative collateral, ensuring consistency of a client brand’s identity and messaging.

  • Collaborate closely with other creative and marketing team members for daily approvals and feedback to ensure your work adheres to a high standard of craft and accurately reflects the identity of the client brand.

  • Systematically approach design across client marketing initiatives by conducting research, gathering references, and ensuring visual cohesion.

  • Design landing pages within Figma and Builder.io, using UI/UX best practices and design systems. Collaborate with project managers and developers to deliver web design initiatives such as landing pages, web design updates, and more.

  • Communicate all necessary information to relevant team members throughout project lifecycles.

  • This role reports to the Design Director and works alongside a team of 3+ Associate Designers, each supporting their own roster of 3-4 client accounts.

Who You Are 

Hard Skill

  • Digital portfolio with work that covers branding & identity, typography, and web design.

  • Solid understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, and composition.

  • 2+ years of proven design work experience (preferably within an agency or design studio)

  • Proficient in Figma and Adobe Suite is non-negotiable

  • Fluent in English (Spoken and written, candidate must be proficient in presenting work in English)

  • Highly creative individual who strives for detail-oriented design and can execute comfortably in a number of styles

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate project requirements into compelling designs

  • Systematic thinker, who problem solves and time manages without heavy direction

Nice to Have

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Motion Graphics portfolio or reel (AE, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya)

  • BA or higher degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts preferred
