We're seeking a backend-focused contract engineer with deep Python and AI infrastructure expertise to power our next-generation platform. What You’ll Do

• Architect and implement high-performance AI backend services using Python + FastAPI

• Own the full development lifecycle: scoping → architecture → deployment → monitoring

• Debug complex distributed systems, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks with surgical precision

• Build and optimize vector pipelines, embedding workflows, and semantic search infrastructure

• Collaborate with frontend, product, and ML teams to ship seamless, intelligent AI experiences

Must-Have Skills

• Python mastery: 3+ years building production-grade backend systems with FastAPI

• HTTP/API expertise: Async programming, RESTful design, request/response optimization

• Model Context Protocol (MCP): Hands-on experience building compliant pipelines

• Vector infrastructure: Embedding generation, vector operations, and Infinity deployment

• LangChain proficiency: Architecting agentic workflows, chains, and memory-aware AI flows

• PostgreSQL + pgvector: Vector queries, schema optimization, and advanced performance tuning

• Debugging mastery: Memory profiling, async/await analysis, distributed system troubleshooting

• Git workflows: Expert-level version control and collaborative development practices

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with vector databases like Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or Qdrant

• AWS experience: PostgreSQL Aurora (with pgvector), RDS performance tuning

• DevOps: Docker, Linux, container orchestration, CI/CD automation

• Performance optimization: Caching, query tuning, architectural scalability

• Frontend awareness: Understanding React/TypeScript to improve API design

• Passion for mentoring and async collaboration in high-performance teams
