Meet the team behind this journey

We’re looking for a Territory Account Executive to help us accelerate growth across all of DeepL's market segment, by driving velocity land-deals. You’ll be responsible for closing high velocity opportunities across the mid-market account base, and partner with Account Executives to identify and discover expansion opportunities. This role manages all aspects of the sales process, including closing, primarily focused on landing (new business) deals. This newly created role will play a key part in accelerating DeepL’s growth.

Your responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales goals / quotas by effectively managing high velocity sales opportunities within your territory

  • Effectively and efficiently manage a large number of opportunities simultaneously throughout the sales pipeline

  • Manage and track customer information in a CRM system (Salesforce) including use cases, purchase timelines, and next steps

  • Provide reporting of pipeline and forecast through the CRM system

  • Negotiate and close high velocity sales opportunities

  • Proactively identify upsell / expansion / cross sell opportunities within existing opportunities / accounts and orchestrate a smooth and efficient handover to an Enterprise Account Executive

  • Work closely with Enterprise Account Executives to define and execute territory / account plans

  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle as relevant

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales and operational processes

Qualities we look for

  • Experience within a SDR / Inside Sales / high velocity sales role, ideally within a SaaS company

  • Have a track record of consistently exceeding quota

  • A consultative sales approach

  • Well organized and able to manage multiple things at the same time

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Highly collaborative and able to effectively work with internal team members and external prospects

  • Excited about joining a scale-up where not everything is figured out, we move fast and are actively building the playbook, and we must shift priorities and adapt to dynamic situations

  • Excited about the prospect of working with Mid-Market customers

  • Native level fluency in Japanese with business level English skills
