Job Description
Position: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: ERIE, PA (On-Site)
Responsibilities:
- 8+ year’s experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar position
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
- Expertise in Linux and UNIX systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Oracle Linux, etc.)
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, routing/switching, VLAN, VPN, SSL, SSH, packet inspection
- Experience in maintaining and securing SSL certificates
- Knowledgeable in cloud, server, application and networking security best practices
- Proven experience working with AWS products such as EC2, RDS, ELB, VPC, IAM, S3, SQS, etc.
- Experience working w/ web servers such as Apache, Nginx and Tomcat
- Working knowledge of database administration routines (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, etc) including migrations, exports, and recoveries.Exposure to scripting languages (bash, PHP, Python, etc.) used in process automation
- Proven experience with CI/CD infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins, Packer, Ansible, and Terraform
- Experience in enforcing Infrastructure as Code methodology
- Experience with configuring and deploying monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Pingdom, PagerDuty, CRON messages, log traces, etc.
- Experience supporing local virtualized environments and host OS’s (MacOS, Windows, VirtualBox, Vagrant)
- Experience w/ Docker and containerization is preferred
- AWS certified candidates are preferred
