Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Safety Manager to join our team in Cross Lanes, United States. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.

  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to establish a culture of safety
  • Design and implement effective safety programs, safety plans, and job hazard analyses (JHA)
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend solutions
  • Lead safety meetings and training sessions to educate employees on safety practices and OSHA regulations
  • Monitor safety compliance and report safety issues and progress to upper management
  • Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with department heads and project managers to integrate safety protocols into all aspects of operations
  • Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and documentation as required by company policy and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee the safety performance of subcontractors and contractors on-site
  • Stay current with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, updating company policies accordingly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • SSHO shall be {Certified Safety Professional (CSP)} and/or {Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)} and/or {Associate Safety Professional (ASP)} and/or {Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)} and/or {Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS)}.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Safety Manager on government projects or College Degree with 5 years of safety experience 
  • Maintained experience through having taken 24 hours of documented formal or on-line safety and health related coursework in the past two years. The training must be applicable to the work being performed on the contract. Teaching is not considered the equivalent of attending training.
