Details at www.duq.edu/benefitsLocation: Department of Public SafetyPosition Status: Full-timeHours: VariedPosition Number: 000539/30-440FLSA Status: Non-exemptPOSITIONSUMMARY:This is a highly skilledprofessional administrative position requiring the exercise of considerableinitiative, independent judgment and the maintenance of confidential andsensitive information. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for the performance of advanced assignments andspecial projects in support of Public Safety personnel and will support theBusiness Office through various administrative functions. The position reports to the Business Managerof Public Safety.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitors work schedules, compiles timerecords for employees and enters hours worked in Kronos and Banner forprocessing of biweekly payroll for administrators and Union employees.Maintains leave balances for employeesof two Unions, including sick, vacation, personal and compensation time.Processespolice reports daily using Automated Records Management System (ARMS).Collects,processes and maintains citation files.Performsall purchasing functions required within the department, orders supplies andcontrols inventory.Preparesauthorized payment reports and monitors office expenditures.Supervisesone student aide.Overseesand manages internal work order requests for Facilities Management, Printing& Graphics and Mailing Services.Receivesincoming phone calls and mail.Interfaces with students, parents, staff andfaculty in a professional and confidential manner.Prepares andmaintains confidential data in accordance with established policies andprocedures.Works directly with the Business Manager toprovide continuity in the management of day-to-day operations of the PublicSafety Business Office. Assists theBusiness Manager with special projects and initiatives.Performsother duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum qualifications:Associate’s degree froman accredited institution.2-4 years ofrelevant work experience.Preferred qualifications:Previous highereducation experience.Knowledge ofKronos and Banner Systems.Alternately, thesuccessful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience andtraining, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions.
