Are you a Building Manager with experience in the nuclear industry? We’re looking for a talented individual to take charge of the overall delivery of safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements for the design of a set of buildings and their associated systems and components on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) nuclear new build project.
The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR Engineering UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
For the SZC Project, work on the replication strategy and some early design studies are already underway and being delivered and managed from both France and UK.

What you’ll be doing
As the Buildings Manager, you’ll oversee the safety, quality, schedule, and cost of the design of a set of buildings and their systems on HPC project. You’ll manage two sets of buildings within the Integrated Team Bristol (ITB), specifically the so called N1 and N2 areas within the Nuclear Island.
Key responsibilities:
Design and Integration: Oversee the design and integration of building systems, ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
Project Management: Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of the project, including resolving technical issues and approving deliverables.
Quality and Risk Management: Ensure high-quality deliverables, maintain a building schedule, manage budgets, and handle changes and risks.
Collaboration: Work with other building managers and teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Team management: Operational management of a multidisciplinary team of engineers working on your scope of responsibility
Who you are
You’ll need to have robust nuclear industry experience, particularly with EPR design and engineering processes.
Additionally, you'll need excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, experience leading large teams in complex environments, and strong project management skills.
You'll build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintain high standards of safety and quality.
