First Look: Email Marketing Specialist, Partner Marketing

 

We are seeking an Email Marketing Specialist focused in Partner Marketing to execute and optimize all sponsored/third-party campaigns in collaboration with The Arena Group’s four major verticals, including TheStreet, Sports Illustrated, Men’s Journal and Parade. This position will concentrate on improving and scaling sponsored/third-party campaigns within an established Email Marketing ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring new strategies to life to drive campaign engagement and brand awareness while working closely with brand partners. The individual that fills this role should be comfortable working across multiple brand identities and with multiple brand teams, while working efficiently to manage a variety of campaigns at the same time. This position will report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $55,000-$70,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, education, experience, and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees. 

 

What You’ll DO:

  • Plan, execute, and optimize all sponsored/third-party email marketing campaigns
  • Gather necessary assets for campaign promotions
  • Ensure subscribers have a cohesive, fluid experience and email lists are healthy
  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager on contact management strategy and business rules for the email channel
  • Execute promotions for brand partners that include product promotions, sweepstakes, content awareness, event promotions, and general brand awareness 
  • Follow and implement brand guidelines for a variety of verticals
  • Manage campaign reporting and analytics with the goal of discovering insights to optimize results
  • Use analytics tools to measure and report results of campaigns and identify new opportunities
  • Drive innovation in the email channel by staying on top of the latest trends and technology
  • Collaborate with and take direction from Senior Marketing Manager
  • Partner and work closely with Audience Development and Ad Operations teams
  • Be willing to offer feedback in an open and honest working environment

What You’ll BRING:

  • Proficient in: Iterable (or a similar ESP), Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Canva, Photoshop (or similar photo editing suite), Blueconic (or similar CDP)
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for email creative, segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability, CAN-SPAM regulations, email deployment platforms and ESPs
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple tight deadlines
  • Strong creative eye balanced with sharp analytical skills
  • Passion for the customer
  • Innovator who stays on top of the latest trends and continuously brings new ideas to the table
  • Flexible team player with a positive, “can do” attitude
  • Strong writer with copy-editing experience
  • HTML and CSS knowledge of email template design and data feed structures
  • At least 3 years of experience building and deploying email campaigns
  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, or communications studies
