Consultant- Federal Health & Sciences

Overview

In this position, you will use your consulting and project management skills to provide strategic vision and thought leadership to enable organizations to leverage their investment in location intelligence. You will lead teams through all phases of Esri enterprise implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment.

This team supports all aspect of our Federal engagement delivery, with a focus on Federal Health and Sciences customers. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate configuration engineers, technical consultants, software developers and system engineers to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately delivery transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful. 

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide supporting relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Enable customer success and maintain and expand Esri technology through successful project execution
  • Act as the liaison between Professional Services and our customers in the delivery of project requirements
  • Develop estimates and propose on new opportunities
  • Manage project cost, scope, and schedule
  • Manage a team of configuration engineers, software developers, system engineers, and subject matter experts dedicated to supporting customers and their mission-critical systems
  • Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation strategies
  • Collaborate with Esri`s practice managers and sales teams to develop new business and be part of actively shaping the future through cutting-edge projects and technology trends

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position, leading and managing IT based projects
  • Professional experience leveraging GIS software capabilities, including mapping, field operations, spatial analysis and data science, 3D visualization and analytics, data management and developer APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer`s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical solutions
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn
  • You thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
  • US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's in geography, computer science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), information systems, earth science, social science, or a STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS, GeoAI, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
  • Understanding of IT integration concepts such as databases, web services, webhooks, mobile device configurations, web browsers, and IT system architecture concepts
  • Master's in geography, computer science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), information systems, earth science, social science, or a STEM related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$82,160$138,320 USD
