Role Overview


We’re expanding our Care Team and are looking for hungry problem-solvers to help develop and execute the services of our member-facing team, our Eternal Coaches. If you thrive in early-stage, mission-driven organizations and are looking to support avid athletes in connecting their sport/activity to their health and longevity, Eternal is the place for you. You will represent the face of Eternal and the voice of our athlete members while driving health, longevity and performance outcomes each step of the way. The right candidate will be equally comfortable goal-setting with elite athletes as they are strategizing with a comprehensive team of experts on how to get them there.


Eternal coaching is a new type of service which requires a strong background in coaching, communication, and translating data into lifestyle decisions.  To succeed in this role, you must believe that technology and humans can come together to revolutionize care for the active. This role reports to the Lead Eternal Coach – San Francisco, and will collaborate with the assessment, medical, product, and content teams. The preferred location for this role: San Francisco, CA.

The Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years in sports performance at the elite level serving athletes as a coach, sport scientist and/or nutritionist. 
  • 2+ years serving general fitness clientele and/or health coaching.
  • Athlete-obsessed and deeply ingrained with their success not just in sport, but in life.
  • Can confidently prioritize and effectively communicate across athletes’ diverse set of comprehensive needs: from strength and aerobic to sleep and nutrition.
  • Digs deep to understand members’ needs to better champion for and implement strategies to drive positive change.
  • Understands that coaching requires sales and is not hesitant to discuss our services and packages when retention is on the line. 
  • Is excited to create manual reports and templates that will found the system in which Eternal scales. 
  • Lives by “test, learn, iterate”.
  • Is ready to build from 0 - 10,000 athlete members and understands that your role must evolve along the way.
  • Can balance the external and internal requirements of the job.
  • Has the ability to make each athlete feel like one of a kind, while helping to build the platform that makes this possible.


Nice to Have
  • 2+ years of experience in tech or corporate
  • Mixed-modality certifications and coaching experience: strength, nutrition, recovery, health coach, etc.
  • Personal experience as an avid athlete.
  • Remote coaching or personal training.
  • Experience with CRM.

  • Serve our first Eternal athletes, from initial consultation through strategic guidance, as you collaborate and prioritize their goals and their long-term health.
  • XFN teamwork: from roundtables about your members with our advisors to product brainstorms as we prepare for our launch and learn towards product market fit.
  • Deliver feedback, qualitative and quantitative, to help assess the effectiveness of our offering.
  • Rinse, repeat, perfect.
