Position Summary

As a B2C Payments Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing efficient operational workflows, driving continuous improvement, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role requires an in-depth understanding of cross-functional processes, data analysis, and the ability to optimize resources to align with organizational objectives. You will collaborate with various departments to identify operational inefficiencies, develop actionable solutions, and ensure seamless execution to enhance overall business performance. The ideal candidate must have a 360 view combining travel and payment understanding as well as demonstrating a problem-solving attitude with a special focus in customer experience.

You will be located in Athens and will be part of the Etraveli Group Fintech department. The role reports to Chrysa Safra, Manager - B2C Products & Partnerships (ROW).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional projects including fintech and travel-tech areas that are related to sales and product initiatives which are impacting the overall payment efficiency.
  • Take ownership of operational processes and optimize them.
  • Analyze existing workflows and business processes to identify inefficiencies. 
  • Design and implement streamlined processes that improve operational performance, reduce costs, and maximize resource utilization.
  • Resolve operational issues with regards to payments set up and payment service providers.
  • Ensure that these strategies are effectively executed, with progress tracked and adjustments made as necessary to meet goals.
  • Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure all processes comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards to minimize disruptions and maintain high levels of operational integrity.. 
  • Be up-to-date with Schemes new regulations as well as with Payment industry’s news.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading initiatives focused on operational excellence. Regularly review processes, incorporate feedback, and adopt best practices to drive long-term efficiency gains.

  • Degree in Finance or Business
  • 1-2 years experience in Product position (e.g. Retail industry) will be considered a plus.
  • Data driven/360 view thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills
  • Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and pay attention to detail
  • Strong numerical & organizational skills combined with business understanding
  • Very good communication skills, can-do approach & excellent command of the English language
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple projects with strong evidence of self-driven approach
  • Advanced experience with MS office (especially Excel)
  • High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
