The Marketing Technology team develops and executes personalized, data-driven omnichannel campaigns to support client business goals. We are looking for an omnichannel SME with proven leadership skills to lead highly skilled marketing automation and data engineering professionals through the technical design, documentation, implementation, and execution of marketing campaigns.
As the leader of the technical teams supporting omnichannel, this individual will be accountable for the automation, data warehousing, and ETL platforms used in brand marketing campaigns. They will collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to effectively plan, automate, and optimize complex omnichannel programs. They will also mentor and supervise the automation and data engineering specialists that drive this work.
Core responsibilities:
Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams, providing subject matter expertise on marketing automation and data engineering
Define and contribute to agency processes and documentation related to the delivery of high-quality omnichannel solutions
Interface with internal teams and client technical partners to plan and implement complex omnichannel solutions
Oversee technical platforms managing campaign data, including ongoing security checks, system maintenance, and data hygiene
Develop content for, participate in and lead presentations for internal and external meetings
Estimate level of effort for marketing automation projects
Mentor direct and indirect reports, providing day-to-day support, guidance on career progression, and annual performance reviews
What it takes:
10-15 years of professional experience in marketing automation, data engineering, or related technical disciplines
Proven experience leading modern, personalized, omnichannel campaigns
Prior marketing agency experience and a solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated experience managing and growing successful teams
Strong understanding of email marketing, data warehousing, ETL, and security best practices
Solid technical skills and expertise with HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and SQL
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau
Current certification(s) in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
A team player with strong time management skills, the ability to motivate others to deliver excellence, and poise and focus under pressure
Strong organizational and written/oral communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
